Walking around the catherdral with the tallest spire in the UK, one can't help but be impressed.  Built in the 1200s and rising to a height of 400ft, Salisbury Cathederal has loomed over visitors since well before Columbus "discovered" the New World.  I enjoyed this particular afternoon exploring the walkways of the cloisters, the perfectly manicured English lawns, and chancing upon the tattered regimental flags from long lost British WWI military units displayed within...
