These two shots were taken from a brief trip to London this Spring.  Both showing the cultural scene in London, as exemplified by the tremendous art galleries.  The National Gallery, with a fantastic free collection, and the South Bank, where there are a large number of theaters and galleries of many kinds all in a strip lining the river.  As someone who lived in such vacation spots as Kaiserslautern, Germany, and San Angelo, Texas, the ability to walk out the door and visit these institutions is a huge boon, and a big part of the upside of a place like London. One might pay more for a tiny studio here than most pay for a house in the US, but there are clearly many underlying advantages if one chooses to take advantage of them...
